About the Technology Provider

I am Kalyani Reddy, born into an orthodox and conservative family where my dad (Narsa Reddy garu, a post graduate in Accounts(ICWA), Bussinessman by profession) would observe Saivism so strictly that he wouldn’t have even a sip of water until he performs Abhishekam. I grew up in an environment where my day would begin with Ganapathi Suprabhatham by Bala Murali krishna, followed by Shiva Sthothrams by my dad, and sahasranamam of ammavaru by my mom. My dad’s impeccable hardwork, discipline, generosity in every aspect and attention to detail in following the traditions and my mom’s (Rama Devi, a house wife) hard work that went in to support it all, always inspired me. He is very conservative when it comes to preserving our rich culture and tradition but has very forward thinking when it comes to social/political reforms, business/Agricultural adaptations and general life, which he always used to share with people around him, which definitely made a difference in all our lives including just acquaintances who would come for his suggestions. These characters influenced me to a level where they helped me in practicing our rituals/traditions and culture in a country where even lighting an oil lamp was considered dangerous(2002) forget about Homam, which in turn “I guess” helped my kids to stay close to their roots, which is extremely important for me.

A cute question “WHY AMMA” by my daughter(Eshani) for everything I do on festival days/special days and a pure happy smile on my son’s(Shiven) face when I chant/sing carnatic vocal, encouraged me to learn more. But I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the unwavering support of my husband(Madhusudhana Reddy) , who is Theist & spiritual but not religious, but mend his ways to accommodate me in every which possible way and no matter even if it is very challenging at times. He is my guru :), when it comes to Computer Engineering ( While pursuing my dual degree BS/MS in CMPE, had non cmpe degree Btech in EEE prior to that) and ever indebted for giving me great liberty to explore the world & technology in a different perspective, which helped me grow & learn whatever little I know today. A big thanks to Madhu and my kids for putting up with me during special days :).

Arundathi’s genuine attempt and her feel of responsibility in propagating our rich Religeous/Social culture & traditions and indepth knowledge in Indian epics(We have a connect there both in the thought process and root knowledge) through her beautiful poetry and aesthetic personality inspired me to provide a global platform to preserve her valuable poetry which depicts the stories of the reason of our existence. Knowledge related to our heritage is imperishable and hard to earn “wealth” that our kids and the generations to come should inherit, which I believe provides strength to face and solve the unforeseen curved balls that life throws at us. We both agree that it is god’s order that we are carrying out, thus Conceived a website “Quest-in-Sojourn.com” (name chosen by the poetess). I wouldn’t have explored the application layer which I always used to look down at, as making the servers, network/Fabric, Storage talk used to fascinate me ( Hence chose a Research & Development Engineering path) but not the beautification(Providing GUI) of it. But Building this project, helped me in understanding how important the skin of a body is i.e the beautification of the technology is. Working on this poject is a divine blessing.

I believe in the quote “Bhagvan ke ghar mein dher hai, magar andher nahi” , which translates to ” In god’s house there might be delay but not darkness”, my interpretation for that is “it might take some hardest testing time, but almighty will definitely solve all our troubles, just have faith and lots of patience”

Enjoy the beautiful poetry by the Poetess “Arundathi Gopal”, my lovely dear friend.
